The Gainesville Area Women’s Network (GAWN) is governed by its own members through an elected board of directors. Every member in good standing is eligible for a leadership position. We rely on volunteers to serve on the board and committees, and to help with individual events. Leadership networking gives our members invaluable business connections.
GAWN’s fiscal year begins August 1, when the new board members are installed; it ends on July 31. Applications to serve in the next fiscal year are due in May and June, but we invite you to submit an application at any time. All hands are welcome. The board consists of four Officers; Chair, Incoming/Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. All other positions are considered Directors, including at large members.
2026-2027 BOARD
CHAIR - LEZA MUELLER
With cabi Style with Leza, I help women feel confident in clothing that fits their life. I've been doing this for 10 years, and I still love getting to know each woman I work with. I earned my Master's from UF in Public Administration, then worked as Budget Director for Alachua County, staying involved in nonprofit boards and community outreach. After that, I became a stay-at-home mom for over 20+ years, the most important work I've ever done. Now I get to watch my girls build their own paths. One earned her Master of Science in Biostatistics. One is months from becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. One is a PhD student in Civil Engineering. As a first-generation graduate, watching them go this deep into their fields... beyond proud doesn't cover it. I'm also a brand new grandmother to the most amazing granddaughter, who's changed how I see the world. Outside of work, I love traveling, especially to Grenada, hiking for hidden waterfalls. I'm a conservationist, an avid paddle boarder, and working toward becoming a Pilates instructor. My goal is to be authentic, kind, and intentional, whether styling a client, leading an event, or helping another woman grow her confidence. https://www.cabionline.com?pws=elizabethmueller VICE-CHAIR - ALLISON CARTER
